General Environmental - Greenpeace asks for a greener Apple
I Love My Apple, But...
Greenpeace is asking Apple who produce the popular Macs, IPods and IBooks for cleaner more environmentally friendly products in their 'Ask For A Greener Apple' campaign.
According to the campain, Apple's product range contain hazardous substances that other companies have agreed to abandon (like toxic flame retardants, and polyvinyl chloride).
When these products are thrown away, they usually end up at the fingertips of children in China, India and other developing-world countries, who dismantle them for parts, and are exposed to a dangerous toxic cocktail that threatens their health and the environment.
